With CMDoodle me and my project group were tasked to design a common for our study. Something that the students could manage and use together. It is a shared drawing app, where you can complete assignments or draw freely.
When we researched what was already working, we ended up with the key words; connection, inspiration and community. We wanted our design to incorporate these aspects.
CMDoodle allows the user to take a break from their project and draw freely, or take a drawing assignment to inspire yourself. The drawings are then shared and projected on a wall, which can inspire others. We want to create one space on our floor where CMDoodle would reside, with the app being shown on a drawing table or a big drawing tablet.
The assignments are all inspired by and themed after well known designers and artists. This broadens your knowledge, inspires you and can help you if you are facing obstacles in the process of your project. The drawing you make in the assignment will be sent to a "wall of fame", where all the drawings are projected on a wall.
Me and my classmate Sofia Hoek worked on the coding of the prototype together. This brought many challenges, but we worked through them all. We experimented and changed things a lot, which would then mess up something else which we would have to fix. This project taught me more about HTML, CSS and Javascript.
